AUDIOBOO CREATES QUICK PODCASTS FOR YOUR APPRAISER BLOG’S SIDEBAR WITH THE USE OF AN iPHONE!
However, Real Estate Appraiser Tips now has a second podcasting feature on the right sidebar. It’s called “Audioboo”, which is a little like Twitter, but it includes a tagged image for your podcast. HOW YOU AS AN APPRAISER COULD USE AUDIOBOO ON YOUR SELF HOSTED WORDPRESS APPRAISER BLOG? Here’s 2 Examples:
1.) Say you stopped by your local MLS Board Office and on the way out, you run into the area’s local “Power Agent”, the Real Estate Agent with the most sales and has the best local blog with all of those fancy charts and graphs – A Local “Trust Agent” in your market! You pull out your iPhone and say, “Hey Mary, would you have time for a 2 minute quick interview?” Mary says, “Sure!”. Then you click on Audioboo, ask her some questions that are on the mind’s of the local public about their housing market, record the short interview as a podcast, take a photo of Mary with your iphone, thank Mary for her time and upload the podcast. Within minutes, it’s uploaded and available as a podcast on YOUR BLOG. Is that not cool or what? You’re offering your local market an interview that other sites and/or professionals aren’t offering. In time, the market will come to know you as one of its’ “trust agents” in the Chris Brogan kind of way (not you as a real estate agent, but as a professional they can look to and trust for accurate market commentary).
2.) You’re attending a Garyville town hall meeting where FEMA is about to redo the areas flood maps, which is expected to increase the cost of local flood insurance. You get a quick interview with the FEMA representative via iPhone and Audioboo, a photo of them and upload it to your blog with the title, “Garyville FEMA Flood Maps Update 12/28/2009″ and tag it with the other local keywords so local find it easily.

By the way, my Android phone is able to sync with AudioBoo. There is an app with the phone and I’m all set up. Excellent tip, Bill. Technology certainly can help us be creative communicators.
